About this site
A practical guide to indoor things to do with kids
We publish curated, fully indoor activity guides for kids across 20 U.S. cities — currently 242 hand-picked venues and ideas, every one with a direct link to the official site.
How we choose activities
Every listing on this site has to clear three tests. First, it has to be fully indoor — no splash pads, no outdoor playgrounds, no patios. Second, it has to be genuinely fun for kids: hands-on, interactive, or visually exciting enough to hold attention. Third, it has to be open to the public with real hours and no membership required.
We read local newspapers, city tourism boards, parenting blogs and children's museum association listings. Each candidate gets cross-referenced against the venue's current website to confirm hours, ages, and whether it really is indoor end-to-end.
Why these 20 cities
Our city list mirrors the most-visited destinations in the United States by annual visitor count. We started with Charleston, South Carolina and expanded outward — because a family trip to a top tourist city is exactly when bad weather feels most expensive.
How often we update
We review every city guide at least twice a year, and immediately when a major venue closes or relocates. If you spot something that's wrong, closed, or out of date, please get in touch.
Affiliate disclosure
We don't run sponsored placements. Every venue link points directly to the attraction's own website. If we ever add affiliate links, we'll mark them clearly — and they will never change which venues we recommend.
